Cat G.L. Tang was born and raised in Vancouver, BC by a Chinese father and Irish-American mother. She is a recent graduate of Capilano University's 2D Animation & 3D Animation programs, with an focus in design and modeling. For her own 2D artwork she works primarily digitally in Photoshop but enjoys using traditional media as well.

Since she was little, her main interest has been in making comics. As a little girl, she was a fan of both North American comics and Japanese manga, and later sci fi and fantasy novels/movies, all of which have influenced her style and genre.
